| New Advisors: Flagstaff and Prescott (AZ) |
On a recent trip through northern Arizona, we had the opportunity to meet with a few local real estate agents in Flagstaff and Prescott. We were very happy with the quality of the agents we met with.
Patrick Schutte, of RE/MAX Mountain Properties, met us at The Gurley St. Grill for an extended lunch in downtown Prescott. Patrick is considered by many as THE person to talk with in Prescott for residential real estate investment. Patrick's technical background easily allows him to perform in-depth analysis on investment properties and whether or not they will provide good returns. He said that Prescott has had considerable appreciation (over 25% in the last year) and is starting to slow down in sales due to the home prices becoming less affordable.
The day after meeting Patrick, we trekked an hour north to the pine forests of Flagstaff where we met with Jan Steward and Kathie Beamer of AspenGold Realty. Again, we were fortunate (after doing our due diligence) to locate two very professional, investment-savvy agents. Jan and Kathie have been covering the Flagstaff region for over 18 years. They've become familiar with many of the investment vehicles (income producing properties, new construction/fast appreciating properties, rehabs, and REO properties), and they have a team of agents to help them locate all the best investment properties. Like Patrick in Prescott, Jan and Kathie said that Flagstaff has had considerable appreciation the last couple years and is reaching its affordability peak. They mentioned a couple surrounding areas, such as Winslow (AZ), as up-and-coming investment areas.
We're excited that Patrick Schutte, Jan Steward, and Kathie Beamer have joined the NARREIA Advisor group, and we look forward to their contributions for our member-base.
